Microsoft MSFT the Great Softie

Microsoft killed earnings today.  Analysts were expecting for it to hit .39 a share but instead Bill Gates and company decided to overachieve and hit .45 a share.  The most optimistic analysts missed by half a billion dollars.

In early trading today MSFT and CFC lifted the market higher with the Dow looking to open about 80 points higher. 

Good job Bill and co.  even if the main reason for their new earnings growth is probably HALO instead of Vista the biggest disaster since Windows ME.
