The Real Shiz

Apparently AIG the insurance giant doesn’t just insure homes in San Diego but is willing to protect them.  With a lot of homes in the $2 million and up category they think it is worth it to send their own private fire trucks to the houses.  From what we have heard there have been multiple instances where the truck saves the house but lets the neighbors home burn to the ground.

You would think more insurance companies would follow suit in high fire risk areas.  You pay a few guys 50K a year and in return they save $10-200,000,000 worth of property every few years.  Seems like a good deal to me.
